Recently, I've begun to discover what I think is the true glue holding the Abrahamic faiths together. They hate each other.
Their identities are defined by what they claim they are not. The Christians select what they least like about themselves, and project it on to the the Jews or the Islamists. The Islamists do the same, and the Jews, who invented the entire morass, seem to do it better than the other two combined.
There is a concern in America about the dissolution of gender lines. In Japan, there are some people who find their identity in clubbing dolphins to death. The more attention activists for non-human animal rights bring to this activity, the more empowered the human clubbers become.
