One often encounters Americans who lament the purported problem that other Americans simply don't want to work. I disagree. People do wish to work. Very much so. People simply do not wish to work for rude, ignorant, intolerant, violent people.
Most Americans are unbelievably rude. Frequently, the word 'sir' is thrown into a sentence to avoid the difficulty of inserting please, thank you, excuse me or sorry. That is impolite. Americans use the word 'sir' obsequiously. Sycophantic behaviour is the opposite of polite behaviour.
If you are willing to work, and people are treating you poorly, the reason might not be that you are a hard worker. The problem might be that you have low self-esteem.
